Georgia Power Parade of Excellence presentEd 100 B
Saturday, September 26, 2009
Begins at Peachtree Street and Ralph McGill Boulevard
10:00 am - 11:30 am
The Georgia Power Parade of Excellence presented by Ford will both honor special achievements by the best and the brightest of our middle and high school students and give students an opportunity to celebrate their individual and collective efforts across all aspects of their education.
The parade designed to salute excellence in education throughout the state, will showcase the participants in custom floats and convertible Ford vehicles.
While the TSU Aristocrat of Bands and the FAMU "Marching 100" both will be prominently featured, this year's parade will include bands from Georgia as well as the southeast region.
The parade takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2009 and the route will begin on Peachtree Street at Ralph McGill Boulevard, south to Marietta Street, turn west and end at Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Marietta Street. Disband is between Marietta Street and Nelson Street on Centennial Olympic Park Drive at 11:30am.
